The Majuli University of Culture is a Public State University located in Majuli, Assam, dedicated to research, teaching, and education in the field of culture. MAJULI is a river island in the Brahmaputra River, Assam and in 2016 it became the first river island to be made a district in India. PLOT AREA – 133829 Sq.M. (33.07 Acres) Spread across 100 Bigha (133829 sqm) of land and stretched upto 880m alongside the Luit River, the campus is designed with the objective to facilitate and promote education, research and training in various cultural roots of local which include languages, literature, art forms and handicraft. Thus, this campus has natural advantage of its location. The university will be equipped with infrastructure to support its varied activities which includes a museum, cultural complex, auditorium, and provisions to accommodate its users. The campus is planned in such a way that visual symmetry is achieved through the axial development of the core. This core visually connects to the entire campus. The campus is designed to cater to a total of 2100 students, 250 teaching staff, and 250 support staff.
